The placement cell of the Institute provides some internship opportunities from semester to semester however most of these are available during summers itself, owing to the giant 2-month break. However, these opportunities are few and limited to certain domain areas like coding and software development.
As far as placements are concerned, the season begins in the 7th semester wherein the recruiting companies begin with their processes. The salary figures begin from 5 LPA and are seen as towering as much as 20 LPA if not more to the select prodigies.
The jobs and roles differ from branch to branch however it's see

I have done 2 internships personally, but none of them has been through college. However, it gave me a slight edge as i was from MIT when i was hired for internships. There was no stipend for both of them. I got an offer through campus placements but i rejected it later. It was a 6-month internship from ClearTax and they were offering 15,000 rupees plus additional benefits (5000 rupees).
There are lots of big companies that come to our campus. Amazon, Deloitte, Tata, Fiat, Bosch, Hyundai Mobis, Ather Energy, Accenture, TCS, Royal Enfield, HP, P&G etc. Most of these companies hired for marketing and sales roles, however, core companies came for tech-specific roles.
However, it finally depends on the branch you're in. Like since i was in Automobile, companies like Tata and Fiat made us not eligible but they allowed Mechanical students for their selection process.
Average salary figures for my branch ranged from 2.8L p.a to 8L p.dep
