IIM Lucknow - Indian Institute of Management Overview

This Indian Institute of Management was established in 1984 at Prabandh Nagar in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh. The institute is one of the 20 IIMs, declared as institutes of national importance after the Indian Institutes of Management Act, 2017. was passed. It is governed by the IIM coordination forum and is one of the first generations IIMs established in India. The Ministry of Human Resource Development recognizes the institute as an Institute of Excellence.

IIM Lucknow Admission

The students aspiring to get admitted to programmes offered by IIM Lucknow must apply for the same by filling up the registration form for the CAT exam. Based on the percentile score of the CAT exam, shortlisted candidates will be invited for the further admission process which consists of group discussion, personal interview and written ability test. After this, the final merit list will be declared by IIM Lucknow that consists of the students selected for admission.

IIM Lucknow Eligibility Criteria

All the programmes of IIM Lucknow have different eligibility criteria, which need to be duly fulfilled by the candidates before applying for admission. The eligibility criteria for some of the courses are given below.

IIM PGP Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a 50% score.
• The candidate must have appeared for the entrance examination.

IIM PGP-ABM Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science/ agricultural engineering/ horticulture with a 50% score.
• The candidate must have appeared for the entrance examination.

IIM PGP-SM Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a 50% score.
• Candidates must have at least two years of work experience.

IIM Lucknow Cut Off

IIM Lucknow offers many courses, for which the cut off is different. The cut off usually depends on the difficulty of the entrance exam, the previous year cut off, the total number of seats available for the programme, the past academic record of the students, the category of the students etc.

IIM Lucknow Infrastructure Facilities

IIM Lucknow has its main campus located in Prabandh Nagar, Lucknow, UP. The institute also has a satellite campus at Noida specifically for its executive programmes. The main campus has an area of more than 185 acres and it houses all the quality infrastructure. The entire campus of the college has wifi connectivity for enabling students to access the internet and all the centrally available learning resources. Across the year, student clubs of the institute conduct multiple extracurricular activities, like sports, cultural fests, drama and art events.

IIM Lucknow offers state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities for its students and faculties for optimum learning and holistic development experience. The institute has libraries at both its main and its satellite campus. The college library consists of more than 45000 books, more than 400 periodicals, 2800 e-journals, access to more than 60 databases, etc. The sports facility of the college includes football, cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton, and chess.

IIM Lucknow Hostel Details

The main campus of IIM Lucknow has two hostel buildings, named Chanakya and Patanjali, each with 64 rooms. The campus has a total of 128 air-conditioned rooms for its comfortable accommodations. These rooms are well furnished, along with amenities like TV, wi-fi connectivity, tea-coffee making facilities etc. There is also a common dining hall present for the students.

IIM Lucknow Placements

The placement cell at IIM Lucknow overlooks the entire summer internship process and the final recruitment process for all its students. In the previous academic year, 100% placement was observed at the institute. The placement process happens in two tiers, one of them is the Higher Entry Placement Process (HEPP) which includes students having a prior work experience of more than 30 months, and the second tier in which all the students are eligible for placements.

IIM Lucknow Scholarships

IIM Lucknow offers scholarships to postgraduate as well as doctoral students. For the fellowship programmes offering Ph.D. in management, a fellowship grant is available for all Indian students for up to 54 months. The fellowship stipend is INR 35000 per month for the first two years, and then it is INR 40000 per month. The students of postgraduate programmes can apply for scholarships offered by central and state governments on their respective online portals. Need-based scholarships are also offered by IIM Lucknow for students with good academic scores or belonging to reserved categories and having a low family income.
